Pre- school dance and music classes are not only a fantastic way to introduce your child to dance but also to enable your child to start to develop the key skills they will need for when they start school. They will be learning in a fun and exciting way and gaining self confidence. It is also a great way to meet new friends, for the children and the parents! At DanceFit Academy we offer a variety of pre-school dance classes for children aged 18 months upto school age.
These classes are designed for children aged 18 months up to 3 years, to take part with their parents. They combine movement and music in an energetic 45 minute class!! Classes are themed every term and use a variety of props and music to keep the classes full of fun! We never know at the end who is more worn out, the parents or the children!!
Ballet Babies is also for 18 month-3 year olds to come along and dance with their parent, but this class is based on ballet exercises and themes. Perfect for all the budding ballerinas, princes and princesses!! If your child loves spinning and twirling then this class is for them!
This is the next step up from Boogie and Ballet Babies, for boys and girls, aged 3 years up. This class is combines modern and tap dance, after about 25 minutes of modern dance the children put on their tap shoes and make lots of noise!! Learning how to make rhythms with their feet!! This class uses themes, props, songs and stories to keep the classes lively and exciting! The focus is on having fun and encouraging a love of dance and music. This class is the perfect progression into our after school classes in modern or tap dancing, where children can go on to take graded exams through the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
An enchanting class for all ballerinas, fairies, princesses and princes! This class is suitable for girls and boys aged 2 1/2 years upwards. This class gives children a fun introduction to one of the most beautiful and graceful forms of dance. This class then leads into our Primary Dance Class which follows the RAD Syllabus and children can progress on to take exams if they would like to.
